Today I did something I probably should not have done, but did anyway.
I launched a meme coin.
Not because I think I’ve discovered the next big crypto opportunity.
Not because I have some grand tokenomics plan.
And definitely not because the world needs another token.
I did it because I’ve been exploring the World App ecosystem recently, testing mini apps, reward systems, and weird crypto experiments. While browsing, I found PUF, a mini app that lets verified users launch meme coins directly inside World App.
The barrier to entry is almost non-existent.
A few taps later, Coinstronauts had a token.
Why I Made It
Coinstronauts originally started as an astronaut-themed NFT project back in 2022.
That was peak NFT mania.
Like many projects from that era, it had energy, ambition, and absolutely no long-term survival plan.
When NFTs cooled off, the project was left floating somewhere in the crypto void.
The website stayed alive.
A few guides got published.
Some experiments happened.
But the original project was basically over.
Launching a token felt like a funny way to revive the brand.
Not as a serious investment vehicle.
Not as a utility token.
Just as an internet experiment.
A weird continuation of the Coinstronauts story.
What Makes This Different
Honestly, not much.
That is kind of the point.
There is no roadmap.
No utility.
No promises.
No claims that this will revolutionize finance.
Just a meme coin created by a real human inside the World App ecosystem.
In a crypto space full of over-engineered narratives, fake promises, and forced utility, there is something refreshing about making something purely for fun.
The Bigger Picture
The interesting part is not really the token itself.
It is how easy token creation has become.
Apps like PUF are making crypto creation increasingly accessible.
A few years ago, launching a token felt technical and expensive.
Now it feels more like creating a social profile.
This lowers friction dramatically, which is both exciting and slightly terrifying.
It means experimentation is easier than ever.
It also means the internet will almost certainly be flooded with even more nonsense.
Probably both outcomes are true.
Final Thoughts
Will this token become anything meaningful?
Probably not.
But that is not really the goal.
For me, this was more about participation.
Trying the tools.
Testing the ecosystem.
And bringing Coinstronauts back to life in a slightly ridiculous new form.
Sometimes the best way to understand crypto is not just to read about it.
It is to press the button and see what happens.
Welcome back, Coinstronauts.
